This 8-week course is for people who want to gently explore the impact their relationship with their mother may have had on their heart, identity, relationships, and connection with God. Many people have reflected on father wounds, but far fewer have had the opportunity to consider the effect of mother wounds, whether through absence, lack of comfort, criticism, control, emotional distance, or painful memories that may still affect daily life. This course offers a safe and prayerful space to begin recognising those wounds and understanding how they may affect us emotionally and spiritually.
Through biblical teaching, group discussion, reflection, testimony, prayer, and practical application, participants will be invited into healing through the love of God, the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and the restoring tenderness of the mother heart of God. The course is not about blame or condemnation, but about healing, understanding, and restoration. It also makes room for those who are not only healing from the past, but who are also trying to navigate difficult present-day relationships with their mother. By the end of the course, participants will have greater language for their experience, a clearer picture of healthy nurture, space to bring painful memories to Jesus, and tools to move forward with greater wisdom, discernment, peace, and hope.
